The next General Election for Carluke Community Council, along with all established Community Councils across South Lanarkshire, will take place on Thursday 22 October 2026.
If you are interested in getting involved in your local community, you may be eligible to stand for election. Current Community Councillors will stand down at this time but are also eligible to seek re-election.
To stand for election, you must be of voting age, be on the electoral register and meet the qualifying criteria. Candidates must be nominated by a proposer and seconder, with nomination forms returned to the Community Council Liaison Officer by 4pm on Thursday 10 September 2026.
